The Washington Accord, established in 1989, is an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degree programs. JABEE became signatory in 2005.
The Seoul Accord, established in 2008, is an International agreement among bodies responsible for accreditation or recognition of tertiary-level computing and IT-related qualifications. JABEE is one of the founding members.
UNESCO-UIA is an international framework composed of UNESCO and International Union of Architects to ensure standard for the architectural education. JABEE was recognized as an accreditation body in 2009.
The Canberra Accord is an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting architectural education programs. JABEE became provisional member in 2014 and is currently filing its application to become a signatory.
The NABEEA, established in 2003, is a network of respective accreditation bodies of engineering education programs in Asia. JABEE is one of the funding and council members.
Mutual Cooperation with Accreditation Bodies Abroad
JABEE signed bilateral MOUs with other Washington Accord signatories, ABET, EA, ABEEK and IEET. JABEE also signed MOUs with CAST, China and NAQAAE, Egypt.
The signatories of the international accords are required to contribute to the accord activities. One of the contributions and obligations of being signatory is nomination of international examiners. JABEE fosters candidates to meet such requirements.
